Are the flavors Kosher?

Yes! All our flavors are certified kosher. Please refer to our flavors page for the most up-to-date information.

Is there an expiration date for the flavors?

Each flavor can last at least 3 months, but most of our customers finish the flavor well before that time marker.

Where do the flavors come from? What are the ingredients?

Bevi is always seeking out healthy options for our flavors and ingredients. Our flavors are unsweetened, zero-cal, or organically sweetened. We never use high fructose corn syrup. Please follow this link for the latest flavors or download the nutritional facts.

What exactly are ‘Natural Flavors’?

The flavoring ingredient in our flavors are made from the juices, essential oils, essences, or extracts from a variety of fruits and vegetables. Our flavoring ingredients are in compliance with the FDA definition of ‘natural flavors’.

How are ‘Natural Flavors’ made?

Natural flavors are derived from natural sources through a variety of extraction methods. As one example, fruit essences can be captured by heating fruit juices and collecting the steam as distillate.

What is Citric Acid?

As the name suggests, citric acid is an organic acid most abundantly found in citrus fruits, like lemons. Citric acid is found in everything from beers to canned tomatoes and is used to maintain freshness and prevent foodborne illnesses.

What is Guar Gum?

Guar gum comes from the seeds of the guar plant—otherwise known as cluster beans—native to southeast Asia. Guar gum is an emulsifier, meaning that it helps our flavors stay perfectly mixed. (We’re sure you’ve seen natural juices separate into layers.) Without emulsifiers, our flavored water would come out uneven, and not live up to our standards of providing you with the best pour each time.

What is Ester Gum?

Ester gum is a natural ingredient from wood rosin used to keep oil suspended in water. Ester gum is an emulsifier, meaning it helps our flavors stay perfectly mixed. We’re sure you’ve seen natural juices separate into layers. Without emulsifiers, our flavored water would come out uneven, which wouldn’t meet our standards of providing you with the best experience each pour.

What is Gum Arabic?

Gum Arabic, or Acacia gum, is a natural gum made from the sap of the acacia tree and helps prevent ingredients from being separated. Gum Arabic is an emulsifier, which helps our flavors stay perfectly mixed. We’re sure that you’ve seen natural juices separate into layers. Without emulsifiers, our flavored water would come out uneven, which wouldn’t meet our standards of providing you with the best experience each pour.

What is Xanthan Gum?

Like Guar gum, Ester gum, and Gum Arabic, Xanthan gum is an emulsifier, which helps our flavors stay perfectly mixed rather than separating into uneven layers. Don’t be fooled by the sci-fi sounding name: Xanthan gum is a natural byproduct of sugar fermentation that is then dried and turned into a powder. It’s in everything from salad dressing to gluten free bread.

What is Sodium Benzoate?

Like Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate is a preservative used to inhibit the growth of potentially harmful bacteria, mold, and yeast. Gross, right? To ensure that each Bevi pour is of consistent high quality, we’ve included this FDA-approved ingredient to keep you safe and to protect beverage shelf life.

What is Potassium Sorbate?

Naturally found in some fruits, Potassium Sorbate has been used as a preservative to fight bacteria in foods for decades. Bacteria tends to thrive in water and nutrient rich environments like our flavor concentrates; since we take your health seriously, we included this FDA-approved preservative to keep you safe and to protect our beverage shelf life.
